Bollywood masala

Being a typical Nepali, I always feel confused whether to watch (can be read as promote) Hindi movies by going to theatre or not. Internet has allowed to download movies resulting in choice to go theatre spending money or watch movie at home for free. If you are a fan of any particular movie star, then you could feel pushed to the theatre even for early shows. 

Being a Salman Khan fan, I also sometimes feel obliged to go to movie theatre to watch his films. But I did not watch his last two movies in the movie hall. I watched them in my laptop!

The Special One!

If you type ‘the special one’ in Google search box and hit Enter, you will get links about Jose Mourinho! Google is so clever that he knows who the special one in club football is. In fact, Mourinho, Portuguese by birth, he described himself as the special one in 2007 for the first time in Chelsea. After his first stint as the manager in the Blues, much water has been passed through Bagmati! ;) He again came back to Stamford Bridge and won a league title already. We will talk about him in little more detail now.

Frustrated youths

One of my friend, who is a computer engineer by profession, always talks like a totally frustrated person. In fact, he is regarded as a ‘complain box’ in our friend circle. He don’t like his current job where he gets very little salary. He wants to go abroad but due to his family’s economic stature he is unable to pay handsome amount to go some lavish country. On the other hand, he is constantly trying for governmental vacancies for like two years. Still, no luck. He drinks alcohol a lot and smokes like 10 cigarettes daily to beat his frustration.

इपिएलको रगडा

२०१६÷१७ सिजनको इंग्लिश प्रिमियर लिग (इपिएल) यहि अगस्ट १३ अर्थात साउन २९ बाट सुरु हुँदैछ । १५ दिन पनि बाँकी छैन । युरो कपको रोमान्च अनि कोपा अमेरिकाको लँडाइ सकिन नपाउँदै फुटबलका फ्यानहरुलाई अर्को महाउत्सव सुरु हुँदैछ । हुन त अन्य देशहरुमा पनि फुटबल लिग सुरु हुनै लागेका छन । स्पेनको लालिगा, इटालीको सीरी ए, जर्मनीको बुन्डेसलिगा, फ्रान्सको लिग वन सबै केहि महिनाको विश्रामपछि पुन सुरु हुँदै छन । तर इपिएल भनेको इपिएल हो यार । :) यहाँ जति रोमान्चकता, प्रतिस्पर्धा अनि रगडा अरु कहाँ ?

Argentine (and Leo Messi's) losing streak

On the special edition of Copa America Centenario 2016, Leo Messi's Argentina again lost against the mighty Chile on the finals. Following his penalty miss and weak performance on the last game, Messi has announce his retirement from international career. That means we can't see him playing for his country Argentina.

Sorrows of walkers

Kathmandu is one of the most crowded city all over the world as we all should accept. People from all over the country have flooded into this small city due to several reasons. Eventually, you should struggle a lot if you walk in this city!

 आज मैतिदेवीमा देखेको दृश्यबाट सुरु गरौँ । झन्डै ६ महिनाको बच्चालाई क्याइरिङ ब्यागमा अघि राखेर एक आमा स्कुटरमा जाँदै थिइन । स्कुटरमा गति एकदमै कम थियो । अगाडिबाट हानिरहेको हावा त्यति वेगयुक्त पनि थिएन । मलाई झट्ट सोच आयो, आहा कति स्मार्ट आमा । शायद आफ्नो काममा जाँदै थिइन ।

Free Student Union Election Should Be Held ASAP

Nowadays governmental colleges are gaining extra momentum in terms of political heat since TU announced that election of Free Student Union (FSU) will take place in Baisakh, 2073. Unfortunately, the election has not taken place since four full years. The major student body among colleges normally elects its new working committee every two years.

भारतमा टिट्वेन्टी विश्वकप भइरहेको छ । कति औँ संस्करण हो ? त्यो भने ठ्याक्कै थाहा भएन । खैर क्रिकेटको पूरानो प्रेमीका हैसियतमा दुइ चार शब्द लेख्न मन लाग्यो । र लेखिदैँछ । अहिले जागिर पनि त छैन । ;)

Writing on a note

I used to write my name and address in notes (paper money) I get in my childhood. Needless to say, I had learned the habit by seeing others doing this. My friends and classmates also did the same. There was a popular notion among us that writing your name in a paper note will cause that note to return to you ultimately. You expend the note and that note goes to other’s pocket, but one day you will get the note again. That’s what we used to think when writing our names in notes. I remember hand writing would be more beautiful when writing on a note than our usual hand writing.

Welcoming The Festival of Energy: Mahashivaratri

This Saturday and Sunday, Kathmandu has seen a good amount of rain. Winter season is concluding and spring will take over. Hence, change of the season could be the prime reason for this rain. Nevertheless, the great festival to worship lord Shiva – Mahashivaratri falls this year on 7^th March (Falgun 24), and the rain might have welcomed the festival of high energy! The famous notion that it always rains around the time of Mahashivaratri proved right this year as well.
